Hey - look up at the sky!

Just caught a view of the crescent moon with 2 planets above, Venus and Jupiter. Since I don't have a super duper camera, I can't do it justice.
However, this great astronomy blog - Astroblog - gives a very fine description.
Oh, since writing this post a large cloud is now obscuring the view. Hopefully it will clear again soon. Check out the sky if you can.

  1. Well I rushed out there just ten minutes after you had written this post and got a brief glimpse. Wonderful! And I don't have a big fancy superduper camera either. Never mind there will be another time. Great post!!!

  2. Was a very short viewing time as it was cloudy for the rest of the evening. Glad you were able to spot it in time.

  5. Hey Bridget over here in the Blue Mountains in OZ.... The Two Planets and the crescent moon made a smiley face ..just briefly before it clouded up...It was beyond Totally Awesome....very rare event next one in 55 years....
