The pigs have made short work of turning over a large area in their enclosure! Fortunately this is what we envisaged and are happy for it. Not so good if it was your prize lawn however!!
Ooh Tamworths. Nice little heritage breed piggies too. They will taste very nice. Yes pigs do tend to make a mess. But look at it this way your soil will be well and truly fertilised!
They are cute little guys. Hope you guys are well and holding up to the cold.
Hi all Yes it will be just perfect for planting once they've turned it all over. We'll move them on to pastures new, and plant the area out with crops to feed them and the chooks (corn, pumpkins, not sure what else as yet)

Ploughing and fertilising at the same time - useful little things, even at that size! Are you planning to plant something after they've been through?

But have they found any truffles, or buried treasure? Looks like they are having fun!
ReplyDeleteNo such luck!
ReplyDeleteWe had a lot of rain in the last couple of days, so they are happier still now that the mud has gone all squishy!
