Harvest time is here! We now have stored away 17 of the Queensland Blue pumpkins and 6 Musquee du Provence pumpkins. Although with 2 quick growing pigs around these probably won't last all that long!
The MdPs are very tasty, the flesh isn't as firm as the QBs so it's a hard pick between the 2 if I only had room for one of them I think I would pick the QB only because the pumpkins are smaller and easily to store in the fridge etc. But the MdPs are very easy to cut into and slice up. I've made quite a bit of puree to freeze for pumpkin pies later in the year.

How do the Musquee de Provence pumpkins compare to the Queensland blue? I don't think there is anything better than QB. What do you think?

The pumpkins look nice and I love pumpkin pie. One of my favorite when I can make it gluten-free! The pigs are cute.
I've never tried pumpkin pie. Looks nice. Good harvest Bridget.
I had pizza with slices of pumpkin and feta this week. Very tasty too.
