Country life is good

We've been down in Auckland for a couple of nights and boy is it good to be back home. As nice as it is to visit friends and family, and we also had some fireworks with some friends last night, it's always good to get back to the peace and quiet of the farm. No bright street lights, noisy cars, planes, trains (well maybe the occasional one), dogs, sirens etc.

Life seems noticeably hectic in the city, everyone rushing around in a hurry. We don't miss it at all.

The first thing I did after getting home was collect the eggs and then go into the vege garden to collect a large head of broccoli for dinner. G picked some ripe strawberries for us to munch on. Yum.

Catch up time! I know what you are saying. I don't miss Auckland not one bit or the noise. Trouble is I have family still living there so I have to make the trip down. Strawberries and cream yum!!! I forgot to tell you you also put onions in with the raw fish mixture. I just looked at my last comment and sure enough I had forgotten the onions! Never mind I'll go hunting and see if I can actually find the proper recipe for the raw fish.

Take care and hope you are well after all this cold weather!

Hi Liz
Thanks for the tip re onions for the raw fish.
I've been having trouble posting comments on your site for some reason, I write something, go preview but just blank, any ideas?

I'm wondering if it's the new comment form google have been promoting. I'll change it back to the old one and see if that works. I have put up the Raw Fish recipe for you as well. I'll fix the comment form and see if you can test it out. Yours is working just fine. I'll be back!!!! And the vodka tip thanks!!! I'll try that out.
