New seasons zucchini

Today I harvested the first of the zucchini. They are pretty darn small but I just couldn't resist. Variety is 'Costata Romanesco' supposedly a very tasty Italian heirloom. When I can harvest enough of these babies I would like to try them fried whole with the flowers on.

They look wonderful Bridget. Let me know how they taste.

Also please read my post titled Awards - you deserved both of them

Hi Liz
I ended up chopping 2 for my son's dinner and have 1 remaining in the fridge.
I'm going to try hard to harvest the zucchini while they're quite small this year, as they turn into marrows overnight! Also the flavour is best when they're small.
Thanks for the awards!

Hi Bridget,

Lisa told me about those silly rules people are supposed to follow. Omer (Snow Forest) simply put down the blogs he reads all the time which were only five. I would just give them to whoever you have been enjoying. And I see you have a few there. It's funny there are so few blogs like yours around or mine (which is completely eclectic)and we have so much fun.

On the Zucchinis yes I know what you mean. My Mum has a gorgeous recipe for marrows and zucchinis. I'll get it off her and post it up for you.

Well I bet you will make some wonderful people you like to follow or read about happy too!!!
Have a lovely day
Liz
